What is Asthma?
Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.
It affects people of all ages and often starts in childhood, although it can also develop for the first time in adults.
There’s currently no cure, but there are simple treatments that can help keep the symptoms under control so it doesn’t have a big impact on your life.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of asthma are:
● Wheezing (a whistling sound when breathing) ● Breathlessness ● A tight chest, which may feel like a band is tightening around it ● Coughing
The symptoms can sometimes get temporarily worse. This is known as an asthma attack.
Several conditions can cause similar symptoms, so it’s important to get a proper diagnosis and correct treatment.
Your GP will usually be able to diagnose asthma by asking about symptoms and carrying out some simple tests.
Treatments
The main types are:
● Reliever inhalers – used when needed to quickly relieve asthma symptoms (salbutamol) ● Preventer inhalers (steroid) – used every day to prevent asthma symptoms occurring ● Some people also need to take tablets.
Causes and triggers
Asthma is caused by swelling (inflammation) of the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. This makes the tubes highly sensitive, so they temporarily narrow.
It may occur randomly or after exposure to a trigger. Common asthma triggers include:
● Allergies – to house dust mites, animal fur or pollen, for example ● Smoke, pollution and cold air ● Exercise ● Infections like colds or flu ● Identifying and avoiding your asthma triggers can help you keep your symptoms under control

I was prescribed the medicine Ventolin Evohaler which contains salbutamol (Ventolin HFA) in combination with a spacer device to help me breathe more easily. I also use a spacer device to deliver the medicine to my lungs. The reason I chose Ventolin Evohaler was because it is an effective and fast-acting medication. It does not cause side effects such as wheezing, itching, and coughing.
I was surprised when the company, Asthma Care UK, announced that Ventolin Evohaler is a new medication for people with asthma. The inhaler, which is a liquid medication, works very fast and works extremely well.
The manufacturer, Asthma UK, has stated that it is the first asthma medication approved for use in adults and that the use of Ventolin Evohaler in adults can be extended for as long as a few days to a few months.
In order to make it easier for me to take Ventolin Evohaler, I took it with a slow-release powder inhaler that I was taught to use when I took the asthma medicine. I did not need to take the inhaler, but I did take the inhaler with a slow-release powder inhaler that I was taught to use when I was taking Ventolin Evohaler. It was easy to take, and it was the only medicine that I ever took that worked that well. When I started using it, I was told that my inhaler would be the only one to work.
In this case, I had to take the inhaler with a slow-release powder inhaler that was not a spacer. After taking the inhaler, I did not need to take the inhaler. I am now using the inhaler on an as-needed basis.
I did not use any other inhalers or spacers, but I have always had problems with it. I was told that the spacer is not as good as the inhaler. It can be difficult to use the spacer to hold the medicine in your lungs and I used it with a spacer device to hold the medicine in my lungs.
I was given the medicine to take for my asthma by a friend, who gave me a test dose of Ventolin Evohaler. The test dose was 200 milligrams. I took the inhaler with a slow-release powder inhaler that I was taught to use when I was taking Ventolin Evohaler. It was easy to take, and I am now using the inhaler on an as-needed basis.
I have a very bad feeling about this medicine. It is very difficult to take it, and I am now using a spacer device to hold the medicine in my lungs.
Read MoreI am also using the inhaler with a spacer device to hold the medicine in my lungs, and I have taken the inhaler for two weeks and my spacer was the only one I had to use. It is now working for me.
